IT’S RUSSIAN ROULETTE, MUSICAL STYLE…
Choose your very own show, enter a room alone, take a seat and wait for your intimate entertainment to begin. It might make you laugh, it might make you swoon, it might make you feel sick but before you know it you’ll be back out again wondering what hit you and queuing up for another go.

Originally commissioned by Birmingham Rep as part of the Beyond the Boundaries Festival, Intimate History is a unique response to a request for new writing and performance that responds to the televisual age. Jake and a pianist make magic for one person at a time with the underlying aim of helping you to feel less lost in the modern world.

INTIMATE HISTORY
Was performance artist Kazuko Hohki's show of the year in the independent on Sundays review of 2004
And has been described by past audiences as …

"Awesome, the most extraordinary theatrical experience of my life ”
"Electric! Wow! I'm kind of speechless (and that never happens!) ”
"Sad but true - Possibly the most romantic 10 minutes of my life "
"Fantastic! A moment of pure escapism ”

"Unsettling and grimy by turns. I left feeling soiled and strangely elated for it. Great fun - Macabre"
