New Weblog is here
Welcome to my new weblog! The idea is that i'll be updating this weekly at the least and you'll be able to leave comments on pretty much anything i suppose
It's been a really busy year one way or another. My own projects 'Intimate History' and 'Re-Inventing the Wheel' have had a good airing.
The video collaboration I made with Simon Daw and Alistair Gentry, 'SeaHouse', was shown at the Venice Bienalle and VAD Festival, Girona.
Stans Cafe have kept me off the streets with trips to Greece, Germany, Canada and Italy. Our show 'Of all the people in all the world' was a bit of a hit with international promoters in Edinburgh and looks set to go worldwide for some time.
Just in the last few weeks I've been delivering our teacher training day 'City Adventure' in London which was a bit of a headache but all seems worthwhile when it a success.
Meanwhile over the holidays I'll be working on a performance version of my photographic documentary, 'Midland Aquaphiliacs'. There'll be three work in progress showings at the Battersea Arts Centre in mid jan. Visit www.bac.org.uk and get your tickets now! The gallery version is pretty touching and funny so i'm hoping some of that will translate on stage.
That's it for now, any comments on our love of the seaside and suggestions of songs about the sea gratefully accepted...
Have a good christmas and new year, Jake
